President – Lauren Hall (president@arlingtonyoungdems.org) A native Eastern Long Islander and 10-year resident of Arlington, Lauren has worked for Democrats in collaboration with Arlington Democrats and Arlington Young Democrats since 2004. After years of observation and participation as an Arlington Democrats’ precinct captain and AYD volunteer, Lauren helped bring the 2010 AYDs to statewide acclaim as their Vice President, and in 2011, co-chaired the Arlington Democratic Joint Campaign. Lauren is a 2002 graduate of Cornell University and works for an environmental consulting firm. When not politicking, she enjoys playing tennis, bicycling, jogging on the beach…and relaxing under the sun with a copy of Politico.

Anthony Dedousis is from Manhasset, Long Island, and has lived in Arlington since 2011. He’s a 2011 graduate of Harvard College, and has come to prefer Virginia winters to Boston winters. A first-time AYD officer, he’s excited to work together with the rest of the AYD executive board. Outside of work, Anthony likes to explore DC, play golf, play the piano, and travel to exciting destinations.
Democratic Party Representative – Conor Marshall (partyrep@arlingtonyoungdems.org)
Conor hails from the Emerald City — Seattle,WA. After coming out to the D.C. area to earn his undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, VA. Conor got involved quickly and deeply in state and local politics here in Virginia. Now living in Arlington for nearly 4 years, Conor has held multiple roles in the Arlington Young Democrats, as well as the Arlington County Democratic Committee (ACDC), and local civic organizations. He sees the position of Party Representative as a way to utilize his existing relationships with ACDC leadership to continue building sound coordination and cohesion between the two organizations. Outside of politics, he’s a self-proclaimed college sports junkie claiming March Madness and NCAA Bowl Season as his two favorite times of the year.
Finance Director – Josh Katcher (finance@arlingtonyoungdems.org)
Josh was born and raised in Northern Virginia. He is a 2006 graduate of Cornell and a 2009 graduate of UVA Law. After law school, he headed to NYC for a few years of corporate litigation. Thankfully, he escaped and obtained his dream job: prosecutor for Arlington County. Josh has done field, fundraising, and speech-writing for a variety of candidates. In his spare time, Josh is a rabid Redskins fan, movie buff, and a wannabe beach bum.
Membership Director – Lowrie Ward (membership@arlingtonyoungdems.org)
Lowrie Ward grew up in the Tampa Bay area in Florida and has received a BS in Biology from Georgia Tech and a Master of Public Health from the University of South Florida. Before moving to the DC area, Lowrie was living in Jacksonville, FL where she volunteered with the Young Dems there for almost three years. She works in public health and with her free time she enjoys exercising, supporting liberal causes, and exploring all that our nation’s capital has to offer!
New Media Director – Wendy Lue (newmedia@arlingtonyoungdems.org)
Hailing from the sunny city of Los Angeles, Wendy gained her East Coast stripes at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Wendy joined AYD in 2011 and has since moved up the ranks from cardboard Obama-holder as a volunteer at local fairs to AYD’s new media director, enthusiastically spewing information about AYD’s events across AYD’s social media platforms. When not bemoaning the swampy/way-too-cold weather of Northern Virginia, Wendy is hunting for delicious new places to be a glutton and planning new adventures with her friends. Naturally she is building her political resume so that it can sound official and important, so give her a few years and she’ll have lots of important names in her profile too, promise!

Matthew moved to Arlington from Alabama after grad school in 2012, bringing with him a passion for progressive politics. A former organizer for the Alabama Democrats, he has been an active volunteer for progressive efforts in NoVa, including the OFA Rosslyn team. He graduated from the University of Alabama with an MA in Rhetorical Theory and a BA in Communication and Political Science, and currently works in public affairs for Clyde Strategies. Nicole Davies is from Rome, New York and moved to Virginia in 2006. She graduated from University at Albany, SUNY with a B.A. in Political Science. She has been a member of AYD since 2007.

)Jennifer is a native of the Northern Virginia area, born in Arlington, living in Fairfax for many years, until moving back to Arlington in 2008. Her undergraduate degree is in Spanish from James Madison University and her graduate degree is from The George Washington University in Event and Meeting Management. Her love for politics and justice has been fostered since birth and being raised in a union household. From an early age she attended political events, rallies, met local political leaders and even assisted with campaigns. Jennifer is well aware that 2012 is a critical year for Democrats on local, state, and federal levels and hopes to help Arlington Young Democrats anyway she can! In her “spare” time, she enjoys exercise, eating, traveling, music, and meeting new people.
Immediate Past President – Jamie Lockhart (pastpresident@arlingtonyoungdems.org) Jamie is a proud life-long Virginian, born and raised in the conservative town of Midlothian and now a resident of the very blue Arlington. A magna cum laude graduate of James Madison University and the Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership’s College Leader’s Program, Jamie is passionate about engaging young people in the political process. She caught the campaign bug in 2005 when she interned for Tim Kaine’s gubernatorial campaign, and since then, Jamie has volunteered for numerous campaigns at all levels and served on the executive board of the Virginia Young Democrats. Most recently, Jamie managed Pamela Danner’s campaign for the Virginia House of Delegates in the 34th District. Previously Jamie spent two and a half years working as Director of E-Communications and a Legislative Assistant for U.S. Rep. Diana DeGette (D-CO). When not following legislation or knocking on doors, Jamie enjoys group fitness classes, vegetarian cooking, cheering on her favorite sports teams, new media and tutoring with Horton’s Kids.
