The Community Service Committee is committed to providing volunteer opportunities in the Arlington County community for Arlington Young Democrats. Membership Committee
The Membership Committee provides a forum for AYD members and officers to give input about issues affecting the membership as a whole. It is also an important resource for the generation of new ideas about how to make AYD membership as valuable as possible. In the coming months the committee will select an AYD tee-shirt design and provide shirts to all paid members, approve changes to the membership form so AYD can keep track of individual member interests and develop a members-only social event! Political Action Team
2006 is the year for Democrats. We have a great chance to win back Congress and AYD’s Political Action Team is not wasting any time. We are working all over Virginia to keep our Democratic seats and to pick up new ones. Bring us your talents and we’ll put them to use. Resolutions Committee
AYD has the opportunity to be a true voice of young people in Arlington, both within the Democratic Party and with elected officials. The Resolutions Committee translates issues young people are concerned about into policy statements for AYD that we use to influence the Democratic party and elected officials. The Resolutions Committee is a great way to explore more fully the issues facing young people in Arlington, and to really make our voices heard in the community. Contact: Jason Faberman.
