02 / 24 AYD Joins AMEN (Arlingtonians Meeting Emergency Needs) Start: 10:00 am End: 1:00 pm Volunteers Wanted! AMEN helps individuals and families during a financial emergency by offering a "hand up", often preventing homelessness. Their Furniture Bank needs help collecting, delivering, and organizing furniture for clients leaving shelters and re-establishing their own residences. Members with large vehicles--pickup trucks, SUVs, vans, etc.-- are especially encouraged to volunteer (we know, good Democrats don't own SUVs but we have to ask!). Seeking: 5 volunteers for Saturday, February 24th from 10am to 1pm Location: 1175 Patrick Henry Drive Arlington, VA 22205 (meet there and AYDs can go out for lunch afterwards) If you are interested in this opportunity and/or would like more information, please contact Leah Kuehn at community@arlingtonyoungdems.org or 703-812-8243.
