AYD & ArlDems Present: Ranked Choice Voting 101

Curious about how ranked choice voting (RCV) in Arlington works? Join Arlington Young Dems and Arlington Democrats for an interactive info session on Monday, October 27 at 6:00 PM at the Lubber Run Community Center (Oak Room).

We’ll be joined by Liz White from UpVote Virginia, who will explain how RCV functions, why it’s considered a more representative form of voting, and how to address common misconceptions. As part of the program, we’ll hold a “Cookie Caucus” where attendees can try RCV firsthand by ranking their favorite treats!

This is a chance to learn, ask questions, and connect with others who want to strengthen democracy locally. We’ll also share upcoming volunteer opportunities with UpVote Virginia and Arlington Dems for those looking to get more involved ahead of (and after) the November election!
