AYD Commerce, Labor, Technology, and Finance Caucus Meeting

Come to Fire Station #9 for the first meeting of AYD’s Commerce, Labor, Technology, and Finance Caucus!

We’re pleased to announce that Greg Ackerman, the Political Organizer for the Mid-Atlantic Regional Council of Carpenters, will be speaking at the meeting to inform us about organized labor’s top legislative and policy priorities in VA (e.g. Repealing “Right-to-Work,” legalizing public sector collective bargaining, raising the minimum wage, paid family medical leave).

Arts, Culture, and Entertainment

Come to the first Arts, Culture, and Entertainment Caucus meeting of 2019! At this introductory meeting we will brainstorm ideas and lay out a roadmap for the year ahead! The meeting will take place Monday, March 25th, at 7:30 pm at the Meridian in Pentagon City (1331 S. Eads Street, Arlington, VA)

AYD Health, Education, and Environment Caucus Meeting

Join us for the first Health, Education, and Environment Caucus meeting of 2019! We will be going over our priorities for the year, brainstorming ideas for events and initiatives, as well as getting to know one another. This meeting will take place in the Wilson Room at the Arlington Central Library, a short walk from both the Ballston and Virginia Square metro stations. Snacks will be provided!

Hop for Housing!

The Arlington Young Democrats are running in Arlington Bunny Hop 5k on Saturday, April 27, 2019! A lovely run through Arlington’s Ashton Height’s neighborhood, all of the race proceeds benefit Bridges to Independence. Bridges to Independence serves Arlington and Alexandria, providing family emergency housing and numerous other support services for our community members. AYD team members will gather at Peet’s Coffee (3003 Washington Blvd) at 7:45am and walk over to the start line for an 8:00am start of the race. We will also be planning a post-race brunch to socialize with runners and those that cheer us on!

AYD Happy Hour: Spring into Action

Join the Arlington Young Dems for our Spring into Action Happy Hour!

Our monthly happy hour is a great opportunity to meet new people, learn how to get involved, and/or just grab a drink and catch up with fellow young Dems! Everyone is welcome.

This month’s happy hour will take place on March 26th at 6 pm at the Board Room, which is located on 925 N Garfield St, Arlington, VA. There is street parking available nearby and it’s also a short walk from the Clarendon Metro Station.

AYD March Meeting

Want to gain important campaign/political skills? Want to know more about AYD in general?

Then join us for Arlington Young Dem’s March Meeting! This meeting will focus on campaign/political skills, like canvassing and voter registration, as well as how to get involved in political campaigns. In addition, we will be having a town hall session so please come prepared with any questions you may have about AYD!

This month’s meeting will take place on March 20th at 7 pm at the Vista on Courthouse (2200 12th Court N, Arlington, VA) just a short walk from the Courthouse Metro Station.
